Sanctions/Sustainability

Sanctions

The nature of technology and economic realities has seen transactions extend beyond physical, jurisdictional and financial borders. Transactions and parties now need to satisfy additional due diligence mechanisms with adverse economic consequences for incidents of breach. The Firm retains partners with certification in global sanctions and is able to advise and guide its clients in navigating this tricky and technical terrain of economic endeavour.

Two of the Firm’s Partners have subsisting Global Sanctions certification from and are members of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Global Specialists.

Sustainability

To be fully competitive in today’s business climate, companies must adopt and align sustainability efforts with their business strategies taking into account environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities. These are critical for company durability as investors increasingly avoid companies with poor sustainability performance. With over 10 years working on sustainable development and continuous learning on Sustainable Development and ESG, one of our partners is well equipped to advise on sustainability matters generally, including advising on sustainable options for energy generation or use.

One of our partners is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
